Audio CDs

I am interested in the viability of creating audio CDs. If any one, reading this blog, has an opinion on or interest in audio CDs, I would be glad to correspond. I am considering making audio CDs, probably of short stories, from pre-1923 works. A couple of authors come to mind, like Mark Twain and Winston Churchill (American author). Any comments would be appreciated.
